for the last year i have had problems going to the bathroom. im either real constipated or in extreame pain becouse i have diareeha. i have had blood in my stool alot but i just figured it was becouse my bm was so hard. the bleeding stopped but the stomache pains are still there i have also just been feeling very tired latley and down in the dumps. my cousin has colon cancer and i know it runs in the family that is why i started woundering. are these the symtoms?

Instead of waiting for a reply from everyone please go see your doctor and get a referral to see a gastroenterologist. It could be something as simple as Irritable Bowel but then again you don't want to take chances. I waited to long. Not by my fault though but because of not going to the right doctors. I now have to have a hemicolectomy. I don't have cancer but I do have a genetic disorder that has caused me to have megacolon and a loss of motility. Years of misdiagnosis from the wrong doctors and constant laxatives did damage. Don't make the same mistake please. God bless you and I will pray for you.
Yes, go to the doctor. This may be irritable bowel syndrome, sounds like that more to me than cancer. The blood is a concern. I'm glad you will be going to the doctor. Please keep us updated.
