transanal removal of stage3 rectal tumor - Cancer: Colon Message Board

because i am new at this, i posted under wrong catergry so i,m reposting.
i would like to hear from someone who has had a transanal removal of a stage3 rectal tumor. i did with radiation treatments thereafter. its been almost three years now. however, i suffer alot with pain, constipation,weakness in legs to name afew. i was told i had procitis and nerve damage due to surgry and radiation. does anyone out there have these problems???

They tried transanal removal for me but decided that the tumour was too big and too close to the anus to get it all. I then had rectal resection and a permanent colostomy and chemo+radiation.

There does, however, appear to have been some nerve damage. I suffer from slight problem with sex(I won't get into detail if you don't mind. I also have some leg pain/weakness, both legs in the upper thigh/hip area. The nerves that serve that area runs not far behind the rectum. There is , after all, only so much room and the rectum is pretty big.
