To those more knowledgeable about this subject, is abdominal pain a symptom of colon cancer?

Bad answer is , Maybe.
A doctor can order tests(barium enema, stool sample tests, colonoscopy) to look for cancer.

Is it associated with constipation? If constipation continues for more than 4 days with abdominal pain that gets worse and especially if accompanied by vomiting. Go to the doctor NOW.

If abdominal pain with fever gets worse, pain is left and slightly below the belly button go to the emergency room , it's possibly appendicitis.

If the pain is higher up, just below the ribs, it is possibly gallbladder.

If it is in conjunction with a bowel movement it could be IBS(irritable bowel syndrome). Fiberous foods make it worse, possibly Crohns disease.

Could also be gastritis, pancreatitis, gastric/peptic ulcer, etc depending on how sharp or diffuse the pain is. While abdominal pain can definitely be a sign of some sort of GI tumor, there are usually other signs that are much more indicative (bloody diarrhea, blockage, etc). Best bet is to have a physician check you out.
