Unhappy Worrywart

I'm sorry to anyone that this makes mad but I'm driving myself mad. I'm 25 mother of two. I just had my second two months ago and ever since then I have been having weird stomach problems. I was wondering if I should be screened for colon cancer. I've been having cramping in my lower left abdomen for sometime that comes and goes and this week I've had diarrhea or not really diarrhea more like loose stools since Thursday. But I'm not sure if that is from not eating right and not eating at all then eating junk so my stomach is all messed up or what. I'm suppose to start my menses next Sunday so I'm not sure if that is why my stomach is so messed up or what. Also and I'm so sorry TMI but tonight I felt like I needed to use the restroom so I went and only tiny light light brown stools maybe the size of a grape came out and they were like flakey. I'm a worrywart and worry about anything and I always manage to have every symptom then have nothing wrong with me. I haven't eaten right since my daughter was born because I was trying to loose weight so I basically don't eat (Horrible I know) so I'm not sure if that is why my stomach is messed up or what. Colon cancer is not in my family BTW. Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and while delivering my daughter my Dr told me I had hemrroids but I am not and have not bled.

Re: Worrywart

Congratulations!! It sounds like you have quite a few things going on with your body right now, so it could be a combination of factors causing these things to happen. Try not to worry too much or panic, I know what that is like and I know it is easier said than done, but do consult your doctor and see what kind of tests can be run to find out what is happening and see what they say about your symptoms. While you are waiting for your appt, you could try changing your diet to be more healthy and regular and see if that makes a difference. I too have many stomach issues before my menses, but otherwise I am usually fine as long as I am eating well and regularly. During that time, it makes no difference, my stomach still gets upset. Let us know...

Re: Worrywart

I have to remind you that many problems with how we feel can be alleviated simply by eating and drinking right. You may be having a problem getting back to yourself after the pregnancy. Knowing you have to do something and actually doing it are two different things. It takes a force of will to make yourself change. I have low thyroid and sometimes i have forgotten my pills when going out of town. This means that I feel low down, am irritable and just don't feel like doing ANYTHING. I recognize the symtoms and why I have them and I can, if I really force myself, actually do the tasks I am supposed to do and hold my tongue when people annoy me(which is always when I don't get my pills )

Get some fresh air, don't buy chips or chocolate bars this week and drink water or juice or tea, if you want fast food go to "Subway"(you are American right?).

Try it for a week, then set your goal for another week.

Re: Worrywart

Thank you. I've been eating everyday since Friday and WOW the difference in my stomach problems. They are all gone. I have mild cramps but I am due next Monday for my menses. I just never took time to fix myself something to eat. I was always playing with the baby or my neice whom I watch everyday. I am American and Subway is my favorite!
