Is this possible? CT found Mass- Colonoscopy found nothing

My dad just went into the hospital for stomach pains (He actually thought he had appendecities) and they did a CT scan and found a mass in his Cecum. He had his colonoscopy today and they did not find anything. They biopsied where the ct scan the mass was and we are still waiting for the results.
Can this be possible?

Also they found a larger mass near his liver. (At first we thought he had Colon cancer and it spread to liver, but they did not find anything in his colon)

Any info would be appreciated.
thanks
