My symptoms were:

Constipation- I tried increasing fiber , drinking water, etc and still could not get "regular" for me.

Narrow thin stools- not every time, but often.

Blood on toilet tissue - again not every time, but often.

My dad died of colon cancer and I planned on having a colonoscopy at 50, but decided to go ahead and have it early. As I said above, 2 polyps were found. The doctor said the one type I had rarely became cancerous, but the other one did, so I am glad we got them out way early when according to the labwork- no cancer cells present. I was really glad, as you can imagine.

I think my symptoms became worse because I was so worried about
having the test and what might be found that I got completely stressed out, which is why I posted here to encourage others to just do the test.

I was diagnosed with internal hemmorhoids which accounted for my symptoms. I am now fine, which again, I think a big part of my bodily functioning being out of whack was stress.
