Sorry to hear about your polyp. My mom had a malignant polyp just above the rectum in the sigmoid colon, which was bleeding a lot. It was removed during a regular colonoscopy. When the lab analyzed it, the top of the polyp was cancerous, but the stalk was not, neither was the part of the sigmoid it was attached to. She did not have to have radiation or chemo or anything. She has had one colonoscopy since then and has been clear. She is now 90 and in a nursing home.
I am hoping that yours will be something very insignificant and that you will not have to have any kind of treatments.
