Regarding Hospice

For anyone here who has lost a loved one to colon cancer and that loved one used Hospice care at the end of their battle, I wanted to ask what hospice did exactly to make the person more comfortable. I know that they administer pain meds but my mom does not have any pain and she is approaching a time when hospice will probably need to be called in. So if the person does not have pain, what exactly does hospice do?

Thanks

Re: Regarding Hospice

How do you know for sure if shes in pain or not?Think about it Your mom may be trying to be brave for her family or? Hospice will be there through the final days they know when the end is near and they make sure your mom is comfortable by giving her whatever makes her comfortable.Believe me Sweetie Hospice is Gods angels I have nothing but respect and admiration for them.
