I am a female age 77. I was diagnosed with colon cancer and had the tumor and part of the colon removed measuring 34 cm in total length last week. My report says that the tumour is seen invading the submucosa, muscular wall and is present in the subserosal tissue. A total of 15 lymph nodes sampled from the subserosal tissue of which 6 reveal tumour metastasis. In addition, isolated tumour deposits are present in the subserosal fibrofatty tissue.
I will be meeting with my oncologist next week. I am worried at this moment.
What will I be expecting? What can I do at the meantime to prepare for my eventual treatment? Thanks.
