| Barium Enema result - Diverticulitis or colon cancer ?
A year ago I did a trans thoracic fundoplication surgery and from that day I suffered with low ferritin...
My surgeon ordered me a barium enema which I did 2 days ago
During the enema I noticed the radiologist concerned about something where at a point she asked consultation of the radiologist. After the test she urged me to make an urgent appointment with my surgeon.
Today I should get the result and have an appointment with my surgeon next week.
A friend of mine that works in same hospital and saw the result told me that I knew that I suffered from diverticulitis...
but still am perplexed as I dont think the radiologist would have made that fuss for finding diverticultis..........
should I be concerned about something else ? I read on the forums that with a barium enema it is difficult to distinguish diverticulatis to colon cancer and other tests should be made such as colonoscopy.
any ideas ?
