blood on toilet roll

when i go to have a poo i wipe
and thers tiny bits of blood on my tissue
is this a cause for concern?

Hi lualua. Do you strain when you go? Do you have hemmeriods? Do you scratch there? All could be a cause plus a couple more reasons I can't think of. To be sure, go to dr for a rectal exam. Then maybe a colonoscopy. Those are really no big deal. But I now and again get blood when I have hard stools and when I strain. You keep an eye on it. Take care

Probably just a hemorrhoid or slight tear of the rectum, but if it persists for more than a couple days or keeps coming back, get it checked out.

I just had a sigmoidoscopy for the same thing and I was diagnosed with internal hemorrhoids.

its not all the time
i read up could be an anal fissue
little cut on the bottom if you stretch it
will bleed

I have the same thing and know I have hemorrhoids but have had two bigger bleeds this year and am going for a colonoscopy Tuesday. I believe it's only internal hemorrhoids as I am only 33 and have no family history of cancer but I would rather be safe then sorry.

im only 19
none of my family at present have cancer
might just be a cut but its been like this for a year
not alot of bloody sometimes none
so i dont know
