| would surgery cure the symptoms ? shortness of breath, etc
80 year old mom just diagnosed, right siide ascending tumor and she is considering surgery only if she feels confident her symptoms would improve after... Shortness of breath, fatigue, low hemoglobin( has been receiving IV iron). CT abdomin/pelvis shows no involvement of other organs. she has 4 stents, and can barely walk more then a few blocks, so if the surgery could improve quality of life she would consider--not to extend life. wonder if breathing issues are from colon cancer or the previous need for the stents! (refused bypass surgery) Also Fearful of anesthesia issues in elderly patient for long surgery.... feedback please?
