Advanced Colon cancer with mets any new advise or medications?
My friend has just been diagnosed with Advanced Bowel cancer with mets to lungs, liver, stomach and glands. She has just had the tumour removed and has a colostomy bag . Does anyone have any idea if there are new advances or breakthroughs in this area. She needs to fight this. Any advise would be very much appreciated. She is young and fit and willing to fight it.

There's a clinical trial that you can research is with regorafanib is in phase III
Heard a lot of good reviews. My husband was diagnose in sept 2010 had folfox with avast for 6 months went in remission in April 2011 cancer came back in Aug 2011 had folfori with erbutux for 5 months dr stopped chemo because disease progress
Went to Md Anderson for clinical trial folfox with desatanib but dr. got him off the trial because he had a bowl obstruction and had emergency surgery ended up with a colostomy. Right now we're waiting to go to Dallas to see if he's a candidate for the trial I mention at the beginning. I pray everything goes well
