my name is lisa and i have been rectal bleeding on and off for about a mth the er doctor says its a anl fissure i seen her on the 8th of this mth i stop bleeding for 16 days straight then my bowels got hard and i started bleeding again not alot maybe a drop or to but my doctor wants me to have this test done says i might have colon cancer he has me really freaked out please someone help me what do i do does it sound like cancer

first I would see a gastro specialist and not take the word of an ER dr, IMO. As far as the test goes I don't think its that bad haven't had one but maybe someone else has and they will comment. cj

thank you very much i am going to wait to see a GI someone who studyed in thsi field i went to the doctor yesterday and they did a rectal exam and he said he feels no mass or lumps and everything look good all he felt was the end of a fissure but says i should still see and GI just to be on the safe side but he did say the no active bleeding is a very good thing so
