Hello to all... I'm a newbie. My Dad was diagnosed seven days ago with Esophagus Cancer... he's relatively young; 57. After bleeding internally for 2 months, he FINALLY went to the MD; his doctor found a golf-ball sized lump where his esophagus meets his stomach. The biopsy confirmed that it was malignant. My family is still very much in a state of shock. He is actually having the CT scan today to see what exactly we're looking at, if it's spread, etc.
I haven't been able to find too much info about this type of cancer; I do know that there are only about 11K Americans diagnosed per year.
Any information or thoughts you may have for me would be so very appreciated... thank you in advance!
