Esophageal cancer in 16 y/o? Hey I have another thread about dysphagia. I've had it for the past several weeks. It feels like the food goes down very slowly, with a pressure-like sensation behind the sternum. This happens with bread/meats/dry foods but not with liquids. I did a search and all I'm reading about is either esophageal cancer, or stomach cancer. I'm really worried about this. Vince |
Re: Esophageal cancer in 16 y/o? I actually had something similar felt like the food was going down very slowly and I went to the dr they did a barium swallowing test.. they told me that I had a slow acting esaphogus.. they told me what might help is for every bite of food take a drink of something.. it will help the food go down.. not sure if that is what is going on with you.. but you never know |
Re: Esophageal cancer in 16 y/o? When I was 16 I tore a small hole in my esophogus. While I was in the hospital the GI doctor assured me that I was too young for stomach cancer. I would tend to really doubt you have cancer. |
