Angioedema and other ailments

I have been tormented for 2 years now by swellings -- angioedema. The cause has not been identified. In fact the doctor has decided to call it "idiopathic" because the course is not known. These swellings occur at various locations, but typically the lips, the uvula, fingers, nasal tissues, palm, and the tongue. I have been hospitalized 7 times in the last two years mainly because my tongue swelled dangerously. I cannot make plans because I never know what I will wake up with. I take prednisone and benadryl as needed. Yesterday, I woke up with a sore, painful and tight throat. Today I woke up with hive-like swellings on my left buttock and upper left arm. I just noticed a cluster of blisters on my penile shaft. Has anyone experienced this? Please someone help me with answers.
