Have this info and Nervouse energy so felt I wanted to share-In 2006 my Husband devoleped kidney cancer-The entire kidney was involved-Removed it along with a rib and lymp node that came out clean. June of this year his remaining kidney started to fail-not bad enough that he will need dyalisis-So many trips in and out of the hospital and the VA to finally ahve a appointment with a Kidney doc in orlando's VA. Till we went back to the ER october 20th-He just was not feeling well-Had a little numbness on his face so they wanted to check to see if he had a stroke-Scan came back lessions on the brain-So now stay overnight to rule out cancer-2 Days later on the 22nd our world was shattered-7-10 lessions Brain Matestisized from the renal cancer into the brain-with 2 more in the liver-So we are home so he can enjoy what little time he has left and It is little time they say genourous amount would be 2 months-So If anyone reads this and devolops Kidney cancer All I have read is that it goes to the brain more often then not and most Docs do not scan the brain on a reg basis-We dont feel as tho it would have helped in our case-We are pretty sure they were there long before we discovered the Kidney cancer-So we are where we are at and would have been 3 years ago only if we knew three yaers ago I think it would have been very poor quality of life for after hisa cancer we lived it up-And if we discovered it back then we would have tried to be aggressive with the same results we have now just him being in pain and discomfort-SO If you are diagnoised with Kidney cancer Request brain scansMRI's so you can have a better fighting chance.
