I was having pain over a year ago and so a CT was done. It was negative. Over last couple a months I noticed scant blood and then a week ago more blood. I also have noticed small black things in urine from time to time. Someone suggested stones??? I have some pain or dull ache. Hx of kidney infection. The blood has me frighten.
Question has any of you noticed blood before a cancer diagnoses and any other signs?
My husband was diagnosed with transitional cell carcinoma a few days ago. Yes, he had blood in his urine. Now, some days he had a lot of blood in the urine, others it appeared normal. There were times his urine turned the color of tea or even coca cola. Once, it turned black. Black flecks in the urine could be old blood cells that are being released. Check with your MD and do not wait. Best wishes to you.
Hi how old is your husband? My problem is I started taking Aleve months agofor my gallbladder pain. I would not take it everyday just so so. I was bruising easy, my gums were bleeding and I developed GI irritation that was thouht to be ulcers and had to o on Tagament. Trouble is I do not know if the Aleve set this all in motion or the Tagament. Since I do not take drugs very often and seen the blood after the Aleve I am wondering it it wasn't the reason. However, I am scared. I stopped the Aleve and I have no seen any visible blood. I am female and most CA of the kidney is found in men, but I have not excluded this I am just worried.
My husband is 69 years old. Yes the Aleve could have caused bleeding but can not give you any info on the Tagamet. Keep in mind that though you do not see any blood in the urine does not actually mean there is no blood. At the time they tested my husband, his urine looked normal but in fact had blood cells that were not visible. A urinalysis should be able to give you an answer.
I think I am going to start with some basic bloodwork and a UA. I did a self UA to test for nitrites and it tested negative. Yes, I know blood can be non visible in urine. With many UTI's you see red blood cells only and not visible blood. Nevertheless, I am still scared.
I will keep all good thoughts and prayers with you. It is probably something antibiotics will take care of for you but you are doing the absolute right thing in having additional tests to confirm all is well. I wish you all good things.
