@kidneymass- happen to see your post . Just wanted to say hope you are doing well. My father was dx with RCC in 2003. I remember the shock of hearing that. He had just started losing weight& extremely weak. His rbc were at like 3-4. All his blood was going to the tumor. He had to have his kidney & tumor removed also by open surgery. I can't believe you went thru that without narcotics. My dad was almost 60 yrs old & had never taken pain meds. And I don't know if he would've survived without them at that time. My dad was later told at md Anderson that he has a spot on his l kidney & one on his lung. The only tx they told him as of 2006 was experimental & he chose not to do it. The good news is my dad is alive & well for a man of 77 . Course we are a god believing family & he says that god has healed him. All I know is the doctors aren't sure why he's still here. Anyway your story touched me because you are young & I know how devastating it can be but I also know how it can give you a new appreciation for life. Good luck!

Well I haven't posted in some time so I think it is time for an update. I went back to work Thursday the 15th, and boy did it kick my butt. I was sore all over. I only had to work 2 days because my work shuts down for 2 weeks for Christmas. Now I get 2 weeks to recover from working. I really feel pretty good. I thank everyone who sent out their thoughts and prayers. Hopefully all keeps going well.

Hello everyone! Well, my recovery has gone well and my return to work has been ok. It sure wears me out. I went for a ct, MRI, and blood work last week. I called for results and the nurse said there is a spot on the lower lobe of my right lung and my blood work was abnormal. When I asked for more info they said we will review everything at next weeks visit. Very worried this may make it stage 4.
