Chest pain can also be caused by muscualr issues, such as thoracic outlet syndrome (pinched nerves in your upper chest/shoulder area) or stress.
After getting a ride to the hospital in an ambulance after hours of excrutiating chest pain and a numb arm, it was decided that it wasn't a heart attack but rather costochondritis - an inflammation in the muscles of my ribs.
Have you seen your dr about this pain? Have you looked into massage therapy, or stretches? They could help relieve your pain somewhat.
All my best.
