 Does anyone know of effective alternative treatments?
My brother in law is 45 years old. He is in the final stages of lung cancer (malignant fibrous histiocytoma). The cancer is mestatized from his leg.
He has just been through two rounds of chemotherapy, which apart from doing damage to his heart, did nothing for him. The doctors here are telling him he has about six months to live maximum. One of his lungs is almost full of cancer and the other is pretty bad.
We believe our only chance is either to find a suitable Stage 1 Clinical Trial or some effective method of alternative therapy, here in the US. We have been looking at a clinic that offers hyperthermia in conjunction with Ukrain and chemo, but are obviously very nervous given his late stage and the cost (which is not covered by insurance). Has anyone had any experience with these or other alternative therapies.
Right now he has functioning organs, is eating reasonably and is in reasonable spirits, although he is on permanent oxygen and his energy levels are very low.
