Could I Have Cancer?

I went to the doctor last week hurting a lot in my chest whenever I tried to inhale. I couldn't inhale much for being short of breath. I had a fever of 100,and they did an electrocardiagram which was ok,and blood work which showed high white cell count. They did a chest x-ray,and after that my doctor said I have double pneumonia. The thing is I have not been coughing at all. I have had pneumonia before, and have always had a lot of coughing.I would appreciate any comments .

Re: Could I Have Cancer?

One thing I learned about cancer in the lungs is that it gives no indication that it is there - painwise that is. So if you are having tightness in the chest it could be the congestion from the pnemonia. If you are at all concerned, you need to have an MRI.

Thankyou for your response. I wouldn't be concerned except with the x-ray I just couldn't figure out why I am not coughing.

Re: Could I Have Cancer?

Sometimes the congestion is too tight and not loose enough to cause a cough.
