Anyone know what this means? - Cancer: Lung Message Board

Ok I had a ct scan done 3 months ago they found a small nodule
(7mm by 4mm) being that I am only 26 and it being so small they said it was probally nothing and to come back in 3 months just to double check, well I just had the second ct scan done and they said there was no change just that one little nodule that had no change in size or appearance, and they said it's just a benign nodule probally scar tissue but they still want to do ct scan every 6 months, they said this is great news but i am still confused any have any advise?

Yup- it's probably nothing, or scaring from some past infection. But, they have to be sure that it still doesn't change for a while. The 'gold' standard is something like 495 days or some such (meaning that if it doesn't grow in that time, it's benign) Forget where I read that.... I'd google it.

I'm going to be puterless, or I'd go find you links.

the dr said it did'nt come from anywhere else because there is only the one is this true?
