Post Prayers...

Hello everyone. I just read ALL the posts for the last couple days and I thought it would be easier to start a new topic.
First to Walter, please tell your wife about your cancer. You may think she can't handle it but how would you feel if she hid this from you? I know taking some of the burden off your own chest may help you a bit also. I am so sorry that you have to ask the questions about if a death can be peaceful, I can't answer because I have never seen any one pass. My husband gave me a final gift, he sent me home for the night. I know if you go back and read some of the posts though, you will read some amazing stories. The book called "Final Gifts" was a real help too.
I wish there was something I could do for those of you still facing the hardest days. Trouble is I'm helpless to even help my self.
Actually, crying does help. You want to try to keep a bright out look for your mother, father, husband, sister, wife etc. But I think if you don't let it out it will be worse.
Well now I think I will go back and put my two cents on some of the other posts.
Keep the faith guys. Cheryl

Cheryl,

Thank you for the advice. I'm going to tell her tonight. I don't know if she can handle it, but you are right, it'll hurt her more if she does not know.

I'm praying for you and for everyone that is ill or tending someone who is ill. And I ask your prayers for my wife and children. I'm beyond prayers now, but they are not.

Walter

Hi, Walter. You sound like a very kind and loving man. But I have to disagree with you on one point. YOU ARE NOT beyond prayers! Not till after we have taken our last breath can we say that. We need God through the good times and bad....so turn to him now, and you will find rest for your soul. Take care, and remember, God loves you. If God be for you, who/what can be against you? Debbie

Cheryl, Walter, all,

I have been reading the posts to this board for several weeks now trying to find answers to the flood of questions that I have concerning Cancer. Both of my wifes parents are battleing this dreaded disease. Mom has ovarian cancer that has now spread to the liver. She also had melanomia inside the colon area. She is now going through the second round of Chemo which is taking its toll on her body. Dad found out in December that he has a golf size tumor in his left lung (squamous cell carcinoma)has not spread outside the lung. Surgery was apparently not a option due to the proximity of the tumor (close to the heart). He is currently taking 5 radiation treatments and 1 chemo treatment per week. He is tollerating the treatments very well. I have not been able to find out what their prognosis is. Any information that anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

My real intent of this post is to uplift each of you through prayer. We serve a living God that has promised each of us a healing through the blood of His son Jesus Christ. I have battled with Diabetes for 20 years and one day through Gods grace on this side of the grave or in Heaven I WILL BE HEALED!!!!!! God has given that promise to all that believe on Him. Walter it is never to late to pray for anyone especially you. My wifes mom and dad my or may not receive their healing in this life, but they draw strenght in knowing that after this life for them there is one of joy, peace and understanding. No pain, no sorrow, no more need for any treatments for we will be in the presence of the GREAT PHYSICIAN. We never get ready to let our loved ones go, but there is comfort in knowing that those who believe will be reunited again in that place called Heaven. My prayer is that each of you will find peace and comfort through the struggle and that God will touch each person going throug this trial and that He will grant peace and comfort for the families involved. If there is any out there that might not know Him, that they confess an turn there life over to Him to gain that peace and comfort. God Bless.

Stacy.
