Dana,
I just wanted to check and see how you were doing with things. Keep me posted. Feel free to just vent how you are feeling to me. Trust me it really does help.
It won't make things go away, but it will release some tensions you have bottled up.

Hey, Andrea.

Walter hasn't been feeling well today, he's had treatment and is very weak and tired. He doesn't understand what it does to me to see him so thin and weak that he can't stand on his own. His cancer is spreading and I don't know what to do. We haven't even been married long, only a seven years. I miss the man I was married to. I know I'm upsetting him, but I just don't know what to do. I only want him to enjoy the time he has left, but he insists on continuing the torture.

I am sorry to hear Walter isn't feeling well. I hated having to see my mom get weaker and weaker from the cancer and the chemo. I can tell you she didn't get to have treatments the last couple of months b/c their was no hope from the dr and she was too jaundice for them to allow her to take anything else. That was when she was she got the worst. Trust me the treatments are bad, but if that gives him hope than he needs to do it to keep going. The cancer itself makes them weak too. It is not just the chemo. The worse it gets he will be in this state regardless if he is taking treatments. I would try to stay positive and remember God has a plan for us even if we don't understand why things happen. You never know this could turn into a miracle. They come out with new drugs all the time. If they had came out with one 2 months sooner they believe that it may have helped save my mom or get her in remission. So you just never know. He has to hold on to whatever hope he has to battle this disease. Without that hope it makes people go down hill fast. I am praying for you and am not trying to offend you and say you are wrong for your feelings. They are totally normal feelings. It is extremely hard for the other people and family to see the one we love suffer and in pain. I think it is harder on the caregiver a lot of times. I hope you are holding up. Do you have someone to help you out with the kids and Walter? I hope so or you are going to wear yourself out.

Dear Dana, I'm so sorry to hear that Walter is so sick. How are you coping with everything? You're being very brave, and it's only natural for you to feel the way you do. Nobody wants to see the person they love suffering,. You are not alone, there are many people here who care about Walter and what you are both going through, so if things get too much for you, come back here and have a jolly good moan, there's always someone here to offer you words of comfort.
