I was told that it would be extremely rare for me to have lung cancer at my age - I was told by one doctor to go home and "watch" things -
I refused that bit of advice, and went on with the next step , which at the time, was having a biopsy run of the little tiny spot they had found - it turned out it WAS cancer.
I got lung cancer at age 38- supposedly very rare - BUT since I've had it, I've met LOTS of people in their early , mid, and late 30s with lung cancer - they are all rare too? I've met twice as many in their early and mid 40s with it - it is unbelievable the numbers.
I know of two teenagers with lung cancer - now THAT is rare - I know of several in late twenties and barely 30 crowd with it- it happens and when it is you, it isn't rare anymore, you know?
If the phlegm you cough up has brownish or red speckles you have cause for concern.
I had that sometimes - but the main and only problem I had that would count as a symptom was getting bronchitis every year.
How soon are you due? They won't want to do tests on a pregnant woman -
A cat scan will show tiny spots of cancer - one to two years before it will show up on xray - but they won't want to do cat scan until you deliver, most likely -
