 Misdiagnosed Lung Cancer- What is it!?
My Dad was diagnosed with lung cancer after being sick for several months. He was given some kind of scan that determined he had three active nodes in his lungs. He has lost tons of weight and has zero energy. Everything he eats goes right through him. The doctore took a biopsy of his nodes and last tuesday, determined that in fact he DIDN'T have lung cancer. They said he had a bacteria or fungus. After the initial relief we realize that we still don't know what is going on and he is still sick.
The thing that is strange is that he went to the doctor to get another scan on his abdomin. He was told to drink a large cup of liquid that would help make things visible for the scan. He did this twice and both times the nurse told him that the liquid didn't make it to the region of the scan! He has been seeing doctors for months with no avail. The diagnoses of cancer was the worst but at least it was an answer... now we don't knwo what is happeneing. He was refered to a specialist and we are waiting for results but please, does this make sense to anyone? He can't put on weight, has no energy and no one knows what is going on. Please help.
