| | Re: Blood test after bronchoscopy (normal?)
I had a bronchoscopy two weeks ago. My pulmonologist took several biopsies and it took two days to get the result, Negative, thank God. It's the only lung I have left. My left lung was totally removed in April, 1994, due to stage IIIa lung cancer. I had a pet scan done the same time frame as the biospies but haven't heard anything about that result yet. I figure if anything was wrong they would call me. As far as blood tests, were you an inpatient (they like to take all the blood they can get from you at all hours of the day or night!) If you were an outpatient then I don't know about the blood work after the bronchoscopy. I would call my pulmanologist and ask him/her.
Best wishes for a long and healthy life.
