| Re: never smoked
Recently, on TV, they had a story about a comedienne that did stand up comedy acts in clubs. Although she herself did not smoke, she contracted lung cancer from all of the second hand smoke present at the establishments. It was a sad story. She used humor to tell her story and hopefully make a difference.
Best wishes to your father in law. It's going to be a tough battle no matter who's fault it was (whether the damage was self-inflicted or caused by others) and he will need all of the support and love he can get to get through the weeks and months ahead. What a sad time for him to find out with Christmas at our door. May God keep you and I will add your family to my prayers. Sadly, that list keeps growing and growing. I suggest that whoever goes with him to the doctor/oncologist asks lots of questions and educate themselves to what type of drugs they are planning on giving him. If he is not comfortable with the doctor he sees, check with someone else. We are very fortunate that our oncologist is great.
We are here for you anytime. Take care.
