| Small spiculated nodule in right lobe?
I am new to these boards. My father in law has just had ct scan results. It was an abdominal scan which obviously looked at chest area as well.
This has shown up at small spiculated nodule (size not know, we only have scan summary at the moment) in his upper right lung. The results also mention an adrenal mass which they say may or may not be malignant.
The summary says the same of the spiculated lung nodule.
He is 80 years old and we have to wait to see the specialist in a couple of weeks to get an explanation of the results. From looking at the internet, it seems "spiculated" is often a cause for concern but we have just been handed a copy of this summary without explanation so the dr cannot be too concerned can he?
He has no obvious signs of lung cancer they were looking as he has problems with his bowels than anything else.
What do you think? Should we be preparing him for bad news?
