Re: not long

Oh My Dear Mica,
First of all I would like to tell you I am so sorry to hear of your mom's battle with cancer and her prognosis. I do hope you can come here often to find some comfort. Do they have any support groups you can look into? I plan to get both of my children in a group to help them. But...anytime you need to talk, please come to the posting board...I hope it helps you as it has for me.
I won't lie...I cried when I read your posting...it reminds me of the pain my 16 and 9 year old are going thru. My husband has lung cancer and we got terrible news yesterday that things are spreading and not much they can do, but he will try one more chemo. I wish I could tell you something to make you feel better and make the pain go away, but that is something I am told will come in time. Just enjoy the time you have with your mom right now, tell her everything you feel. I know it is not fair someone at your age has to lose their mom...how heartbreaking.
I am in a hurry so need to end this now but I could not leave this posting board without replying to your posting....I will pray that you will have strength to get thru this terrible time and that you will have some special times with your mom before she dies.
My thoughts will be with you,
Kim

Re: not long

Mica,
So sorry to hear about you mom. I know this has to be so hard on you at such a young age and I know how hard it must be for your mom. Mom's feel they must protect their kids and when then know they will not be there to do so they worry about who will do it.One of the kindest things you can do for your mom is to let het know that you will miss her more then words can say but that you will be all right and you your dad and sister will all take care of each other. Knowing that would help ease some of her worries.

It sounds like you have a fun holiday planned for her and I do pray it is filled with lots of love and joy and gives you, your sister and Dad lots of good memories to hold on to.

My mom too is dieing of lung cancer but I have had her much longer then you as I am 48. Despite the fact I have had her 48 yrs she is still my mom and it will not be easy to say goodbye to her.Know you and your family are in my prayers and thoughts and if you see this before you leave on your holiday have a merry christmas! JanMarie
