Feeling bloated

When I read all these other posts and see all many of you have been going through, My mom's problems seem so small and to that I am grateful. At 82 I don't think she could deal with some of the issues some of you have had.
She had last week off chemo and they also decided to give her this week off in hopes she will perk up some but here it is Thursday and she has just not perked up much. She feels exhausted and is not eating well. She does eat but only small amouts probably the amount a young toddler eats.

She says she feels full or bloated so that when she does eat she gets the "better not eat another bite" feeling. Her abdominal girth must be a bit bigger as she says some of her clothing feels tight..advantage of being female she can wear loose dresses. I think one of three things must be happening. 1) the cancer is progressing in her liver and causing ascities ( fluid build up), but so far she has no jaundice and next week we will see how her liver panels look 2) the Taxotere is causing abdominal ascities as Taxotere can cause fluid build up just about anywhere in the body and she has been on it since Feb! 3) the neupogen is causing an enlarged spleen and it is pushing on her stomach. Her doctor does not seem too concerned and she does have a CT in two weeks so unless she suddenly gets worse she can wait it out. I have been here since Monday and she has not gotten any worse and I see no signs of liver failure but am concerned about next weeks chemo if it is indeed the Taxotere or next weeks neupogen if it is from that so will have to discuss it with them when I return next week. I have to go home this afternoon as I have not 3 days but 4 ( 12 hr night shifts ) to get through.UGH!

I must say I am not feeling too good about this next CT as if there is progression she has no more chemo or so that is what we had been told and if it is ok and it is the Taxotere then figure they will have to stop before IT kills her.She may be between a rock and a hard place on this one. Well I need to get packed up for the drive home.My continued prayes to all of you .JanMarie
