Another question about pain - Cancer: Lung Message Board

As I mentioned below - my father-in-laws back pain is overwhelming him. He does not have it in his bones yet - but is this a side effect of the cancer? My husband seems to think its arthritis, but I've never seen anyone in this much pain with arthritis..

(He's stage 4 with it having spread to his liver and scalp)

My husband just had a bone scan today and we will not get the results until tomorrow. However, we requested one because he started having joint and shoulder pain and some back He said, he thinks it is arthritis also but I believe it is to painful to the touch to be that.

I don't know what the exact sympthons are but you can google and find out more informaton
