| Re: NSCLC Stage IV
Thank you for replying and sharing. I hate to hear that it took your mother several atempts to get on track. My doctor knew from the first visit his plan of treatment....very confident, made me feel like I will live with this for a long time. I am so glad you got to spend time away with your mother, what a trip. Hopefully there will be many more specail moments, trips and times. And from the way it sounds the disease didn't get in the way from a great time! From what I gather your mother is doing well. I can remember a trip with my mother like that, however she suddenly passed 3 days later of an Asthma attach. I can tell you that my chemo(4 cycles) kicked my butt, I just finished my 4th so I am looking forward to my body to get to heal. I noticed in the past week that I have been having some pain in my hips and thighs and it has me a little concerned. This far I have responded to the chemo, and my Dr. feels very good about where I'm at with this. This is such a humbling experience.... Your mother and I sound to be in about the same situation. What she was told is where I am at, however I only had 4 clycles of chemo, I am now on a maintenance plan every 3 weeks of Avastin and Entrastrourin. I feel that I and hopefully your mother will get a good time laspe. Looking at your location I had to wonder if you were my daughter, but your description of your mother was not me. If you don't mind me asking how old is your mother? I hope your mother well, and you and your mother will be in my prayers, thoughts and concerns.
I look forward to hearing from you.
