Should i get another opinion ? - Cancer: Lung Message Board

I had a ct scan in Dec 07, nodules were found so three months later i had another ct scan and was discharged because they remained the same as on the first scan. The reason why i had a scan is because i get chest pain.
I am still getting chest pain now and have to take tramadol for pain relief.
I also get pains around the bottom of my ribs which feels like a stitch. i am really worried as my symptoms are not going away.
Should i insist on another opinion ? The last consultant told me to go home and to stop worrying. I got the feeling that he found it hard to believe that i had this chest pain and made me feel stupid for wasting his time...

I really don't know what to do any more...

I would get a second opinion and even a third if you feel the slightest bit dismissed. It would do a lot for your piece of mind even if it isn't anything to worry about. I had a heart issue some years ago and was dismissed until I got a second opinion. It did a LOT for my peace of mind. Luck to you!

Thank you linda, i am going to get another opinion i do feel dismissed and am worried sick still.
