A member of my family had a chest x-ray recently and they discovered a nodule in his right lung.

He is having the following symptoms:

Shortness of breath
Chest Pain
Coughing up blood
Right arm is numb and can hardly lift it
Right shoulder pain - espcially at night
Forgetful

He is in his late 50's. Heavy smoker/drinker. Is taking sleeping pills at night b/c his shoulder pain is so bad.

Gone for a bone scan and bronchioscopy coming up.

Does this sound like lung cancer?

Hi ... I am by no means an expert but your Dad's symptoms don't sound good

I also had a Dad with bad habits and lung problems.
The Scan and the Bronchioscopy are great tests ... that will help alot.
Has he had any Blood work done??
that can tell a tale as well.
I see you are in Canada. I am just curious...how is the system doing with getting swiftly on your with your Dad's case. As I hear it can be a lengthy process at times.
I live in Washington State and often hear of Canadians coming here for faster health care.

He is having all his tests done privately, therefore having to pay for everything.

He has stage 4 lung cancer.
