Emilus

I am a 52 year old male. I never smoked and considered healthy except that I have high cholesterol for which I am taking Lipitor. About 9 months ago, I had a chest pain and went to the emergency. They performed among other tests, a Chest CT Scan. My heart is fine but they found a 7 mm x 5mm nonclacified lingular left lung nodule. My doctor asked me to do a repeat scan after 3 months and it remained the same size. Then he asked me to do another CT Scan after 6 additional months (9 months altogether). The size of the nodule now is 8 mm x 5 mm.The radiologist said it has not changed significantly and recommended a conservative followup in 6-12 months. I am quite scared due to the fact that it has gone from 7 mm to 8 mm in 9 months. Can anyone reassure me that the scan sounds very stable and nothing to worry? I appreciate very much any contribution.
