| | lung cancer and blue tongue and lips
My 40 year old sister was diagnosed with stage 2a lung cancer in sep 2009. She did holistic treatments for a short period of time (about 2 months and not consistently) and then stopped. In January she was told that she was at stage 2b.
She went to the doctor on friday because her tongue was blue and the doctor told her it was circulation problems caused by lack of oxygen and her lips will soon turn blue too. She already does breathing treatments and has an oxygen tank for when needed. But the doctor said there is nothing else to do for her (she refused any treatment for the cancer - radiation and chemo) and she has less than 6 months to live (which I don't necessarily believe).
Now, if you looked at my sister you would never know she was sick. But I am really concerned if her oxygen levels are so low that her tongue and lips are turning blue/black, what happens next?
How will the lack of oxygen affect her and ultimately will heart failure be her end?
Any help would be appreciated.
