Employee with lung cancer
A few weeks ago an employee of ours went to the hospital as he couldn't breathe very well. He went through a cat scan and a few other tests and the specialist has said he has lung cancer. Last year he had a spot on his left lung that was the size of a grape and he did nothing about it at that time. This year it is the size of a grapefruit.
He is back in the hospital now and he's also been told his heart is beating at 30%.
He's been told that they will be doing low dose of radiation starting next week.
I don't think he's been told what stage or what kind his cancer is or he hasn't even asked. I keep asking him and he says he doesn't know. So my question is, based on the size of the mass, what stage would you think he is in?
Also, with his heart being so weak, will radiation affect this even more?
