Lung Cancer stage II

Is it normal to have a bad cough, loss of appetite and extreme tiredness as a result of chemotherapy and radiation. The treatment ceased 6 weeks ago and the cough is getting worse morphine is helping. The doctars say this is expected I just want to know if anyone else has had a similar experience.
