I recently had an appointment with my doctor in order to get my prescriptions refilled. He did the normal bloodwork, ekg and chest x-ray. He contacted me to say that while he didn't see anything on the x-ray that the radiologist did see a tiny nodule and wanted me to have a CT Scan. I asked if there wasn't something else we could do because I've had several CT Scan over the last 2 years and they are NOT good for you. He agreed and said that he would have no problem at all waiting until the 3 month period and redoing the x-ray. He said that he didn't think that it was anything but I'm scared to death. Has anyone had anything similar and had it be okay? I'm 62 and have only smoked a total of probably 4-5 packs of cigarettes in my whole life, mainly as a teenager.
