Hi . I am new to the boards as of today. I join in behalf of my dad. He has been diagnosed with small cell lung cancer back in May and one of his masses is right in the same location as you are describing. It is starting to wrap around his windpipe/pushins on his esophagus. He is always in so much pain, we do not know what to do. His ONC Dr. upped his pain patch but it is just horrible seeing him in pain. He just did his first week of radiation and has 9 more radiation days to go before it is over. He also has masses in his liver, so he has been complaining a lot about pains all over his stomach/back area ..... I am so sorry to hear that you are having so much pain. I do not think that they are sure how to help the pain stop <>
