| Dad is in early stages of investigation
My Dad was just recently diagnosed as having a tumor on his lung. It is about 6 X 8 cm and is low down, near the outer wall. It may be secondary to a colon cancer 3 years ago, but is probably not as it seems to be completely isolated with nothing elsewhere.
Can the lump be removed or will a large portion of the lung come with it? Can this be done laprascopically or will they have to crack ribs and his sternum? Will there be a large difference in treatment if it is a primary tumor versus a secondary one? What are the usual types of treatment (he had nothing but surgery for the colon cancer)?
Thanks for any info you can give me.
