oral cancer today i had my regular dentist appt. and he noticed an area of white on the roof of my mouth. He told me to go to the oral suregeon to get it checked out. Im 17 and I have been smoking cigars for about a year, maybe 3-4 a week, sometimes none, just the occasional, do you think this could be an oral cancer already? |
Re: oral cancer Well...it could be. I'm not a doc yet, so sorry i can't be more help in this area. I hope things turn out to be ok for you. Best wishes. :) |
Re: oral cancer It's going to be okay though. I promise. |
Re: oral cancer I think it is a bad choice of you to smoke, but i won't start one of my lectures....google Leukoplakia and search other types of mouth cancers and diseases, and i hope you're going to be okay. |
Re: oral cancer Well, it's extremely possible that it is cancer.. I mean, it's also possible that the smoking didn't do all of it, maybe it just triggered it? Some people just get cancer very easily :( My grandfather(god bless his soul) had never smoked sun-bathed or anything his whole life and about 10 years ago he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and oral cancer. He's still living today! Cancer isn't unbeatable, although it is a very hard fight! Hopefully this opens your eyes to the harmfulness of smoking. |
