Oral cancer: hard palate tumors?
I have been somewhat concerned with a lump that I feel in my mouth. It's on the upper right side towards the back of the hard palate near my wisdom tooth. It's not protruding, so it can't be seen just by a glance in the mouth, and it doesn't really hurt. But when I push on it, it feels hard, like bone growth. It actually feels attached to the jaw bone back there. Are tumors generally hard, or soft tissue?
I also have an ulcer on the upper left side of my palate, the doctor looked at it, scraped it with something and said it's just an ulcer and I don't need to be concerned about it. But I've read that a sore that doesn't heal for a long time could be cancer. Isn't there something about it bleeding when scraped if it were cancer? Because mine doesn't bleed. It hasn't changed in size since I've had it. And neither has the hard growth that I mentioned..
Any feedback on this would be much appreciated.
