help: X-ray or biopsy ?
Compare X-ray with biopsy , which method is better for detecting oral cancer (primarly tongue area) ? Does it differ for the stages of oral cancer ? Any alternatives ?

A ct or pet scan (or combination Pet/ct) is better than an xray anyday, especially for detecting cancers of the head and neck. However a biopsy can definitively tell you if cancer is present.
