fleshy lump in mouth

Recently I discovered a red fleshy lump, white around the edges, on my jaw above my bottom wisdom tooth on the left side. I have no history of dental problems, don't smoke and don't drink in excess. The lump is painless unless considerable pressure is applied. I was wondering if anybody could shed light on what this might be? Thank you
