colon cancer mastatised to liver cancer - Cancer: Pancreatic & Liver Message Board

my mother was diagnosed 2 years ago with colon cancer. after 2 surgeries and 2 years of chemo, the colon is fine. the liver and lungs are now full of cancer. she is now on hospice and hurts. can someone please help me understand what is to come. i am her health surrogate and am scared to death. i do not want her to be in pain.

I am so srry to here about your Mom. You know your mom has a maybe long road ahead of her, just be there for her its going to be hard i Know went through it with my dad he was on Hospice also they can change pain meds as needed to help with the pain just stay on hospice about it!!!! It is a really tough and sad time just try to keep your spirits up for your mom. Talk about the goodtimes you and her has had.Do special things with her also , her favorite things she likes to do, it will help take her mind of her pain maybe. Well keep me posted and tell mom hello!!!!!!!! Cheer up
