Jan, I am so sorry for what you both are going through. Does your husband have active cancer any where besides the liver? If not, it is possible that he would be a good canidate for a hepatic artery infusion pump. Talk to your oncologist about it and see if he can refer you to a liver specialist. (Or is the dr you are being referred to a liver specialist) Everything I have read or every dr. we have talked to says that you need a liver specialist who specilizes in liver cancer when you are dealing with mets to the liver. Have they ever talked to your husband about radio frequency ablation, resection or any of the other options that could be available?
If the oncologist your husband is being refered to isn't doing what you feel he should, please get a 2nd, 3rd or how ever many opinions as you feel you need. If he is still wanting to fight, then they should too.
